THE COAT OF ARMS

The Name: The 4MMP, Fourth Movement Music Production studios, Named after the 17th-century Symphony music where the genre is usually performed in four movements in which the fourth movement is an exuberantly live and amusing finale.

The Escutcheon/Shield: The 4MMP Shield houses an ancient lyre, an instrument that dates back to 2600BCE decorated by a laurel wreath that symbolizes victory and features the Greek god Apollo with his lyre on top of it.

 

The Crown: The Crown is embellished with a lot of musical signs and also it features the opening of Schubert’s Ave Maria Piano motif.

 

Motto: Opere Solverit - A Latin verse that translates to “Hard work pays Off”.

 

The Order: The order features two phrases one in Latin and the other in Tamil. Imperium Sine Fine - the empire beyond boundaries, and the Tamil phrase from the 6th century BCE by Tamil Sangam philosopher Kaniyan Poongundranaar "யாதும் ஊரே யாவரும் கேளிர்" (Yadhum Oore Yavarum Kelir) in Brahmi Script - The world is one and its people my kinsmen.

 

Supporters: The coat of arms is supported by lions on either side which symbolizes majesty, courage, strength, and wisdom
